Fall Sermon Series

Good News for the Weary, Wounded, and Wandering

This Sunday, September 7th, we are launching a new worship series titled “Good News for the Weary, Wounded, and Wandering.” Inspired by the remarkable book Healing What’s Within by Chuck DeGroat, this series will be a journey of compassion and discovery, seeking to understand our inner struggles, pain, and places of disconnection.

The good news, for all of us, is that God invites us into an abundant life that can help us heal, reconnect with ourselves, and move beyond our shame, grief, and loneliness. This series will help us to rediscover God our healer, who is seeking us out to be present with us.

We will explore the questions that God asks Adam and Eve in the Garden: Where are you? Who told you that? Where have you taken your hunger?

In addition to Sunday morning, there are several ways you can engage with this series and hopefully find more profound healing with God. First, we encourage you to get a copy of the book and spend time reading it this fall. We aren’t preaching through the book, but we will use it as a resource and make some references to it. We can’t recommend it highly enough!

Second, we will host a Wednesday Reflection Group for the six weeks of the series. The group will take place from 7pm-8pm on Wednesday evenings, on Zoom. If you want a place to reflect on the sermons, the book, or your experiences with God during this season of life, we would love to have you join us. Here is the link to the Zoom gathering:
