One of the most important things to us here at Duneland Community Church is finding ways to demonstrate God's love by serving the needs of those around us. Our mission as a church is holistic. We want to meet the physical, spiritual, and emotional needs of those in our community as God empowers us to do so.

Our missions teams and events often focus on meeting the physical needs of our community because we understand that meeting someone's physical needs can have a lasting emotional and spiritual impact as well. So we joyfully give of ourselves to help meet the needs of others. If you would like to join us in this mission we would welcome your help. Check out the information below to find a mission that fits your gifts.

Helping Hands

Do you need help? Do you need help with a project around the house or have a repair that you can't afford? We would love to try and assist you.

Helping Hands is a ministry of volunteers that go out into our community and works with those in our church to do projects around the home. From yard clean up, painting, home maintenance and cleaning, we work to meet basic needs and improve the quality of life we minister to. This group has projects every 4-6 weeks.  Helping Hands Exchange

Do you have items that you want to donate because you think they could really benefit other people? Do you have something you need that you think someone else might have lying around? The Helping Hands Exchange is a place to donate or to find something you need. Click on this link to go to the Exchange.

Sharefest

This community wide gathering of churches meets up to go out en mass and make a difference in the name of Christ. Sharefest takes place in the fall each year.

Thanksgiving Baskets

Each Thanksgiving we fill baskets full of food to give out to families in our community. Check back in November to find out what we need for the baskets and to submit names if you know of families in the area who would benefit from the blessing of a basket. Contact Rick Wheeler for more information.

Hat and Glove Drive

Each Decemeber we join in with Chesterton Middle School (where we worship) to collect hats and gloves for area children. This is a simple and beautiful way to give a gift that will make an immediate impact.
